Every summer, when I was a kid, I went away to summer camp. Part of the fun (or the terror?) of going was getting my cabin assignment upon arrival. Would I be with my friends? Would the other girls be nice to me? Will people see me in my underwear? (Yes, yes, & maybe?).
As Sully pointed out, for every TxSC veteran, we have two newbies this year. There will be a lot of new faces, which means you'll have a lot of chances to make new friends. Plus, since this is a whole new experience for all of us, we're all feeling a wee bit awkward (even the vets and staff!), so let's at least be awkward together.
By the way, I have personally looked at everybody's website and available social media links as of tonight. Trust me: this is the sweetest group of women you will ever have the pleasure of camping with. I'm excited to meet you all!
Rather than surprising you with your bunk assignment at camp (like we had originally proposed), we wanted to give you the chance to get to know your bunkmates and the other campers prior to TxSC.
