It's Indiana!

We all know Indiana Adams. But did you know she is crazy about meat? She is hilarious, crazy smart, and overall an awesome person to know. I'm personally excited for you all to get to know her better at Texas Style Council this year! But for now, go ahead and read her (entertaining) interview below!

What got you interested in fashion/style?

Claudia Kishi of the Babysitters Club. I was a voracious reader as a child, and Claudia was the only Asian kid in literature in the 80's, so I identified with her-- her love of junk food, art, and dressing weird.

Who is your celebrity doppelganger?

My bloggelganger is Linda from Little Tin Soldier. I personally think I'm a mash-up of Winnie from The Wonder Years, Cassandra from Wayne's World, and the cartoon Tiger Lily from Peter Pan.

Tell me about the best party you've ever been to.

SXSW 2013. gifted Jess and I with some kind of magical wristband that got us the super ability to skip all lines, access to the side of the stage, and all we could drink Shiner. We still can't figure out -what- kind of wristband that was and how we can get one of those again.

Tell me about your greatest accomplishment.

Here are my birth stories:

Jude (three hour labor at home

Caroline (twenty minute labor at home

If you could have one talent, and be amazing at it, what would it be?

Writing, pitching, and selling screenplays and teleplays.

What is the most embarrassing musician you've ever listened to? Do you still listen to them?

I am a proud and loud Huey Lewis & The News fan. No embarrassment or irony necessary.

Where do you tell your out-of-town friends to go when they visit Austin?

Alamo Drafthouse. The Salt Lick.

Your mother and grandmother aside, who is the most inspirational woman to you and why?

I am currently super enamored of Mindy Kaling. I've been a fan of hers since she co-penned Ben & Matt (a play she did in college), and her work as a writer and actress is top-notch. I love that she can play a smart, feminine, multi-demential character on The Mindy Project. Rarely do women of color get cast as leads, and here she is, helming a witty, charming show as the lead character and show creator.

Were you voted as anything in High School? If not, what would you have most likely been voted as?

I moved to a new school my senior year of school, and I literally knew no one. Do you watch that show Awkward on MTV? I was very much like Jenna, while my high school boyfriend was like Matty. He was voted friendliest, best dressed, nicest eyes, & best hair. I don't think anyone actually knew me a part from "that tall, Asian girl" and "[name redacted]'s girlfriend".

Tell me more about yourself! Your hobbies, your day, your future, your family.

I am a super carnivore. I order extra meat at every meal. My favorite meats are crispy chicken wings, rare steaks, and undercooked burgers. I eat meat with my husband Chris and my two kids Caroline (8 months old) and Jude (2 years, 8 months).
